The Team
Richard Jones
Richard’s career spans over 30 years in the property development and property consultancy industries.
As Managing Partner, and later Senior Partner, of construction consultancy Jackson Coles, he was personally responsible for a number of major developments costing up to £100m across commercial, mixed use, arts, residential and educational sectors including The White Collar Factory and Notting Dale Village.
He has advised some of London’s leading property companies including Derwent London and Great Portland Estates together with private entrepreneurs and investors on their development and building requirements.
Under his tenure, Jackson Coles grew from a boutique practice to one that ranked in the top 25 of QS companies nationwide.
Richard was also instrumental in developing Jackson Coles’ Polish consulting arm, Euromost Polska. After more than 15 years of ownership, and having grown to 4 offices across Poland, employing around 130 staff, Richard led the team negotiating the successful sale of Euromost to Hill International in 2008.
Richard subsequently established Nord to harness the skills and experience he had gained as a consultant.
Richard is a former Trustee of The Architecture Foundation and the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Orms Employee Ownership Trust.
Katie Jay
After starting her career in investment banking, Katie joined Jackson Coles to focus on strategy and business development. She was responsible for developing the Jackson Coles brand and external image as well broadening the client base and enhancing the reach of the firm. She also covered day to day company matters, supporting the Partners in their corporate and business decisions and providing strategic analysis and advice.
Katie joined Nord to focus on design-led high quality developments with character, individuality and longevity.
